A working visit is a great way to learn new skills, experience life in a community and get a taste of meditation and Modern Buddhism. We are an international community and welcome all applications.
In exchange for 5 days work you will receive 7 days accommodation and meals. We generally require people to come for a minimum of two weeks. You are very welcome to attend meditation classes and courses for free when you are not working.
The work on offer includes cooking, cleaning, gardening, maintenance or working in the on-site World Peace Cafe. If you have any specific skills that you would like to offer we would love to hear about them.
If you’ve been attending weekly classes for a period of time, living at Tara KMC presents an ideal opportunity to live as part of a Kadampa Buddhist community. We have a diverse community of ordained and non-ordained practitioners as well as families.
