Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being who is the manifestation of all Buddhas’ Compassion. By relying upon on Avalokiteshvara, with deep faith, we can develop our own compassion and awaken our Buddha nature. Resident Teacher Gen Losang will grant the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara. This empowerment is an opportunity to make a strong connection with the Buddha of Compassion and to receive his powerful blessings.

The empowerment weekend begins on Friday evening and finishes at Sunday lunchtime. A retreat, entitled ‘Inspiring Solutions for Difficult Times’, guided by Gen Losang follows from Sunday 28th March (evening) until Friday 2nd April (lunchtime). A separate booking is required for the retreat. More details of this retreat will be available on the website soon.

The Teacher
Gen Losang Kelsang was ordained as a Buddhist monk is 1983 and spent several years in retreat under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and later taught Kadampa Buddhism internationally in many countries such as the UK, Mexico, the US, Spain, Taiwan, Switzerland, and Japan. He has recently guided retreats at the International Spring and Summer Festivals to thousands of people.
As one of Venerable Geshe-la’s most senior students, Gen Losang has a great depth of understanding of the teachings and is very skilful in sharing them in a practical, approachable and light-hearted manner. He is lovingly regarded for his insightful teachings and serves as an inspiration through his devoted practice.
