Donate to the Shrine Project
One of the many exciting developments since we became an International Kadampa Retreat Centre is the shrine project in the meditation hall. We were kindly given an eight foot Buddha Shakyamuni when another Centre moved premises. The Buddha requires repairs and gold leafing. Under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Gen Losang has designed the other Buddha statues for the new shrine. They are Avalokiteshvara, Green Tara, Je Tsongkhapa and sons, Venerable Geshe-la, Heruka, Vajrayogini and Thousand Armed Avalokiteshvara.
These statues will be 3D printed using the latest technology. After being shipped from Asia, in order to transform them into qualified statues they will be filled, painted and gold leafed according to Buddhist Ritual. This process requires a number of items such as gold leaf, specialist paints and precious substances to fill. These items are of the highest quality.
Below you can see different options for the amount you wish to donate. All donations are gratefully received. If you wish to donate more than £100, you can add multiple options (such as an extra £50) or you can change the quantity; for example the £100 option with quantity of 2 means a £200 donation.
Alternatively, if you wish to make a large donation by bank transfer, or for other payment methods, please email: ad@tarakmc.org
As we are a registered Charity (no: 517949), if you are a UK tax payer, we can claim an extra 25% by Gift Aid from the Government. Please put a note in your booking to say you are a UK tax payer and we will contact you for some additional details for the claim.
