09. ‘Tuesday Evening Class’ with Resident Teacher Gen Losang ~ 11th May.
£0.00 – £6.00
7.30 – 8.45pm
This class is offered as in-person and live stream.
The way things really are
Buddha said that all phenomena are mere appearances to mind, totally dependent on the minds that perceive them. Their ultimate nature is emptiness. How can we understand this, and what does it mean for us?
This class includes guided meditations and a practical talk about integrating positive insights into daily life. Each class will begin with a breathing meditation to settle the mind and then a talk exploring the topic of the week. This will be followed by a concluding meditation to help us take the understandings to heart.
Suitable for Beginners. Everyone is welcome.
Gen Losang Kelsang was ordained as a Buddhist monk is 1983 and spent several years in retreat under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and later taught Kadampa Buddhism internationally in many countries such as the UK, Mexico, the US, Spain, Taiwan, Switzerland, and Japan. He has recently guided retreats at the International Spring and Summer Festivals to thousands of people.
As one of Venerable Geshe-la’s most senior students, Gen Losang has a great depth of understanding of the teachings and is very skilful in sharing them in a practical, approachable and light-hearted manner. He is lovingly regarded for his insightful teachings and serves as an inspiration through his devoted practice.
