In-Depth Study Programmes

Foundation Programme (FP) 

If you have been attending the weekly classes for a period of time, and wish to study in-depth, this study programme provides a comprehensive and systematic presentation of Buddha’s teachings.  Especially suited to the modern world, it enables students to deepen their understanding and experience of Kadampa Buddhism through study, discussion and meditation practice. Students can join at any point, whether or not the book has started.

This is not a drop-in class.

There are two Foundation Programmes at Tara IKRC:

Evening FP: Monday from 7.30 – 9.30pm 
Studying: Universal Compassion: Inspiring Solutions for Difficult Times.

Morning FP: Thursday 9.45am – 11.45am 
Starting new book 9th December: The New Eight Steps to Happiness.

Teacher Training Programme (TTP)

with Resident Teacher Gen Losang.

The Teacher Training Programme is designed for those who wish to train as qualified Kadampa Buddhist Teachers.  The TTP includes in-depth study of Sutra and Tantra and regular Buddhist practice retreats.  Interested students will generally have studied in-depth on the Foundation Programme (FP) for a period of time fulfilling the commitments and practicing Kadampa Buddhism in daily life.

When: Sundays 2 – 6:30pm

Studying: ‘Meaningful to Behold’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
